I have always fought not to project but to be myself. To retain my own scale, which is a dot, but a vibrating dot, a pulsating dot that is what I'd like to be. I would like to remain that pulsating dot which can reach out to the whole world, to the universe.

Why do I teach Yoga? Because I love it!

Yoga has something to offer everyone……………

During my first Yoga lesson I decided to become a teacher. During the early stages I knew very little about Yoga. I viewed it purely as a physical activity that, as if by magic, totally transformed body and mind. The sense of health and wellbeing after a Yoga session was so complete when compared to other sport and fitness disciplines I have been exposed to.

Yoga postures have been evolved over thousands of years so as to exercise every muscle, nerve and gland in the body. It is true that they secure a fine physique which is strong and elastic without being muscle bound. It is true that they help to keep the body free from disease. It is also true that they reduce fatigue and soothe the nerves…. however, their real goal is to train, discipline and still the mind.

This is what makes Yoga so wonderful and so unique. In part it explains why so many people are being drawn to this ancient science. In this ever changing and fast paced world Yoga provides the tools to reconnect with nature. Yoga’s ultimate goal is to bring calmness of mind…..and that’s Yoga in a nutshell!

My classes are complete in there approach, respectful to the traditions of Yoga, and honour the exceptional teachers I have been fortunate enough to learn from.

Some of you will love the physical postures, some of you will love the emphasis on breathing, others will adore final relaxation…… and I’m sure a few will find the opening and closing prayers slightly amusing!

To some it will be a ‘WOW, this is amazing’! To others it’ll be more of a gradual process. What’s important is that you feel a greater sense of wellbeing walking out of the class than you did walking into the class.

There are as many ways of practising Yoga as there are individuals who practise it. There are as many ways of experiencing Yoga as individuals who practise it. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you may have, I’ll only be too pleased to answer as best I can…….Give it a go!

Today I am registered to teach with:

To the best of my ability I shall endeavour to pass on to others the joys of Yoga.

Whenever the mind unsteady and restless strays away from the soul, let him ever and forever lead it again to the soul.
