Yin Yoga Video Download


Yin 陰 or 阴 female principle in nature.

The Yin practice is a very effective way to open tight hips and hamstrings.

Yin Yoga serves as a unique and powerful tool for maintaining the greatest possible range of movement.

Yin – Restorative, slow, soft, yielding, calm, deep.

As one ages flexibility in the joints decreases and Yin yoga is a wonderful way to maintain that flexibility, something that many don’t seem to be too concerned about until they notice it is gone.

Yin Yoga allows for settling into stillness and surrendering into our body, working into the connective tissues.

It is a meditative approach to Yoga with a physical focus that extends much deeper than the muscular system. Here the practitioner is trying to access the deeper tissue such as the tendons, ligaments, tissues, fascia, and joints. Many of the postures focus on areas that encompass a joint (hips, sacrum, spine).
